Several people have asked me why I joined this race.  There are a few answers to that. 

• I joined because I think that democracy demands that people participate in the process. 
• I joined because I believe that Floridians need real tax relief and real consumer protection with regard to homeowner's insurance. 
• I joined because I believe that education has been de-prioritized by the Tallahassee insiders. 
• I joined because I believe in protecting Floridians from violent crime and the public health hazard of environmental pollution. 
• I joined because I believe in protecting the rights of Floridians.  Florida's government should keep it's hands off of our bodies and out of our gun cabinets.

As this campaign proceeds, I hope to blog regularly, talking about the campaign and updating you on my impressions of this exciting election season.  Stick around.  I promise I'll keep it interesting!
