Organization Purpose
Competition is at the heart of the American political system. Every voter deserves a
chance to make a real choice at every level of our great democratic system. I want to be an alternative to same-old
politics.
Our Mission
If elected, I want to do three things:
- I will bring REAL insurance and property tax reform to all hard-working Floridians!
- For too long, our tax system has unfairly socked working and middle class citizens
- We need tax cuts on a needs basis, determined by income - a senior living on a fixed
income should not pay the same tax bill as a couple earning two six-figure incomes!
- I will make education a priority at every level - kindergarten through college!
- Education is one of the few places in the State's budget that can directly grow the
economy:
- k-12 students need the very best education so they can compete in the global marketplace
- College students need an investment in the human resources that create innovation and
new industries
- If professional sports teams can benefit from a draft of collegiate talent, I don't
see why our schools can't, too. The best and brightest should go to the schools that need the most help. We need
to end the FCAT's destructive effects on our schools.
- I will protect Floridians and their rights.
- I see civil liberties as a continuum.
- I will NEVER truncate a person's right to control their body; a woman's right to choose
is enshrined in binding legal precedent.
- I will NEVER expand the state's gun laws; the Second Amendment is part of our Bill
of Rights and has been ruled on by the Supreme Court.
- I will NEVER interfere with a person's religious practice and I will NEVER allow one
religion to interfere with someone else's religious practice.
- I will NEVER interfere with a person's right to choose a life partner, regardless of
their sexual orientation.
- Protecting our environment is not JUST a good idea: It's an economic and a public health
issue!
- I will strengthen environmental regulation to preserve the quality of life that is
part of the value of our homes!
- I will never allow a polluter to get away with poisoning our water, our land, or our
air!
